Chris Whelan is the Chief Executive of Universities New Zealand – Te Pōkai Tara, the representative body for Aotearoa New Zealand’s eight universities. Chris has significant management experience in the private, public and university sectors. He has held a number of strategic management and corporate services roles including with the University of Canterbury, the New Zealand Police, and the New Zealand Agency for International Development (NZAID).
