The National Code will be a new form of regulation for the higher education sector and will set best practice rules for providers in embedding a whole-of-organisation approach to prevent and respond to gender-based violence.
Biography
Renee is leading the development of the National Higher Education Code to Prevent and Respond to Gender-based Violence, a key action of the Action Plan Addressing Gender-based Violence in Higher Education. Renee has over 20 years of experience in gender-based violence policy, response and advocacy within the Australian Government, the community sector and the university sector. She spent her early career working with victim-survivors and families affected by domestic, family and sexual violence.
