Alisha Burns is redefining what modern motherhood looks like—supporting a growing number of women who are intentionally choosing to have children on their own via donor conception. She is the founder of Solo Mum Society, a coach, author of My Perfect Family, and host of the No Need for Prince Charming podcast. Through her courses, coaching programs, and support communities, she has supported thousands of women across Australia and New Zealand as they navigate the path to solo motherhood. Through her own 12-year journey of infertility, fertility treatment, IVF, stillbirth and divorce, Alisha finally became a mother six weeks before her 40th birthday with the help of a sperm donor. She is now creating all of the support she wishes existed for her as she navigated this path. Her work draws on both lived experience and the ongoing insight she gathers from the women she supports, offering a clear and current perspective on the needs, decisions, and experiences of this growing patient group. She is passionate about supporting women to feel informed and confident in their choices, while contributing to more inclusive and considered care within the fertility space.
