Dr. Kia is an Australian trained Gastroenterologist and Interventional Endoscopist. Dr. Kia graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2009 and was accepted as a fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2019, after completing his Gastroenterology and Hepatology training in South East Queensland. Dr. Kia went on to complete his subspecialty fellowship training in Interventional Endoscopy at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Kia currently serves as a consultant specialist at the Sunshine Coast University and Logan Hospitals. Dr. Kia is passionate about high quality and evidence-based gastroenterology and interventional endoscopy care, with special interests in hepatopancreatobiliary diseases, Barrett’s oesophagus and small intestinal diseases. He is actively involved in training of junior doctors and endoscopy fellows and is a Senior Lecturer at the Griffith University School of Medicine. Dr. Kia enjoys spending his down time with his wife and two daughters.
