Details
Endoscopy nurses play a central role across the patient journey, from referral coordination and procedure preparation to post-procedure communication and follow-up care. This session explores how AI-enabled clinical decision support systems can support nursing practice by improving workflow clarity, reducing cognitive load, and promoting consistent, guideline-based care. Using practical endoscopy and gastroenterology examples, the presentation will demonstrate how AI supported decision support tools can assist with triage, documentation, discharge planning, and surveillance recommendations, while preserving clinical judgement and team-based decision-making. AI will not replace nurses, but endoscopy services that use AI safely and wisely will replace those that don't.
