Tania is a Nurse Endoscopist and Nurse Practitioner working at Tauranga Hospital, New Zealand. Tania qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1998. She worked in New Zealand for 2 years and then London for 6 years in a variety of nursing specialities. On return to New Zealand in 2007, she was employed in the Medical Day Stay Unit at Tauranga Hospital and has been there ever since. Initially, she worked as an endoscopy nurse, then gradually completed her post graduate diploma, and eventually progressed to Master of Nursing (First Class Honours), Nurse Practitioner, and Endoscopy training. In 2022 she commenced independent endoscopy, has gained recognition in training in gastroscopy and colonoscopy from the NZ Conjoint Committee, and now also co-chairs the New Zealand Nurse Endoscopists Association.
