Biography
Tamie is the first Inflammatory Bowel Disease Nurse Practitioner to be endorsed at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, having previously been a clinical nurse consultant in the IBD unit for over a decade. She completed her Master of Advanced Nursing Practice in 2019 and started her role as an IBDNP in 2020.
Tamie has a keen interest in nursing education and is a strong advocate for nurse led intervention and innovation to improve delivery of patient care.
She has sat as chair of the GENCA VIC/TAS IBD group, co-authored a chapter in the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Nursing Manual and has been the primary organiser of the St Vincent’s Hospital IBD nursing symposium, since its inception.
