Emma Saddington is the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) for Victoria. She provides strategic clinical leadership and expert advice to the Minister for Health, the Department of Health, and senior leaders across government and the health sector on nursing and midwifery matters. The CNO role represents Victoria at a national level and is a key advocacy position championing the contribution, sustainability, and future of Victorian nurses and midwives. A critical care–trained registered nurse, Emma brings over two decades of experience across tertiary and community health settings, with a strong background in emergency and trauma care. She holds multiple postgraduate qualifications and is passionate about workforce capability, leadership development, quality and safety, and system-wide collaboration. Emma is also an Adjunct Senior Lecturer with Monash Nursing and Midwifery at Monash University and Chair of Children of Cambodia.
