Dr Anastasia Volovets is a Staff Specialist gastroenterologist at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney. She completed her advanced training at RPA and received further subspecialty training in Advanced and Transplant hepatology at the Royal Infirmary Hospital in Edinburgh, UK. Since returning to Australia, she has worked across general gastroenterology, liver transplant, cystic fibrosis, addiction and toxicology services. She has a special interest in safety of gastrostomy tubes and was instrumental in developing a nation wide Gastrostomy education program that has supported nursing, medical and allied health staff in care for gastrostomy tubes over the past decade and was nominated for the NSW Premiers Award. She believes passionately in multidisciplinary education leading to better care outcomes for the complex patient population.
