Wellbeing- what you do and what you don’t do matters

3:20 PM - 4:00 PM

Abstract

In an age where the wellbeing and retention of healthcare staff has become critical it is important to recognise the role of the organisation, leaders, teams and individuals in the wellbeing of staff and patients. There are several systemic and cultural aspects of health that are contributing to disillusionment and harm to staff and patients. This talk will explore the cluster of unprofessional behaviours that occur in the hospital settings and the systemic and cultural factors that perpetuate them. It will explore accountability and responsibility at all levels that is required to protect staff and patients and inspire a return to the bonds and fun of health.
