Biography

I’ve been a registered nurse since 2009 working for Eastern Health. I’ve worked predominately at Maroondah Hospital Emergency Department. Completed Postgrad Certificate in Emergency Care 2009 and completed my Master of Nursing in 2020. I’ve worked as Clinical Nurse Specialist 2010-2014, Clinical Support Nurse 2014-2018, and Clinical Nurse Educator of the Emergency Department at Maroondah Hospital since 2019. I’ve been working with Julie as the HRAID® Research Fellow since October 2022. My main interests are Emergency Nursing and seeing research translated to clinical practice to ensure we are providing a high level of evidence-based care. I enjoy working with nurses to improve patient assessment and to help identify and prevent patient deterioration. The HIRAID® framework really spoke to me as a practical, safe, and evidence-based system to support emergency nursing assessment and care for novice and senior nursing staff alike.
