Biography
Jessica started her nursing career at 21 years old as a new graduate nurse in the Emergency Department at Wollongong Hospital in 2021, where she developed her love for emergency nursing. She is currently a Clinical Nurse Specialist within Wollongong's Emergency Department with a portfolio in Mental Health within the ED. She is currently completing her Graduate Certificate in Critical Care Nursing, with aspirations to complete her Honours in 2025. In her spare time, she volunteers as a mentor for young people through Youth Frontiers and enjoys spending time with her two rescue cats and going to the beach.

Deirdre Beaney Nurse Manager NSW Health WSLHD Employment, Staff Health & Wellbeing & EAP services since 2017. Having 30 years of nursing experience working in a number of acute care, outpatient and community settings across Sydney and London. Through personal and professional experiences has lead to a passion and further development in leadership, occupational health, workplace culture & wellbeing and advocate for organisations in supporting their employees’ health and wellbeing.

Tamsin joined Monash Nursing and Midwifery in 2012, and previously worked as a clinical nurse educator in a busy Melbourne tertiary emergency department. Tamsin has an extensive background in emergency nursing, is passionate about emergency nursing and continues to work clinically. She is currently on the Victoria Branch of the of the College of Emergency Nursing Australasia (CENA). Tamsin's PhD examined the minimum practice standards for graduate emergency nursing programs.
Dr Belinda Munroe

Dr Munroe works as an Emergency Clinical Nurse Consultant across four Emergency Departments in NSW. She is an honorary fellow with the University of Wollongong School of Nursing and is the current NSW CENA Branch President. In 2016 Dr Munroe completed a PhD in Nursing at the University of Sydney, validating ‘HIRAID’ – the world’s first evidence-based emergency nursing framework. Since completing her PhD Belinda has continued to lead and publish research on emergency nursing practice, with a focus on patient deterioration, health systems improvements and behaviour change. With nearly 20 years’ experience working with children and adults in emergency care settings, Belinda is passionate about translating research evidence into emergency practice in the front line and building emergency nurse capacity to lead change.
