Biography

I am a Royal Air Force veteran, with qualifications in Nursing and Midwifery, and a graduate Certificate in Healthcare Leadership. Since arriving in South Australia from the UK in 2010 I have undertaken Nursing and Midwifery positions within both Tertiary and Country hospitals and facilitated Midwifery Care both in hospital and in homebirth environments. More recently I held the position of Clinical Nurse Consultant for the iCCnet Rural Support Service from 2021–2023, heading up their Telehealth Nursing team during the Covid-19 pandemic, and later supporting the ADF Healthcare Services on base and in a telehealth capacity as an Registered Nurse. I am currently the Virtual Emergency Care Service Manager for the Royal Flying Doctor Service SA/NT, overseeing their Telehealth Services, Medical Chest programme, AED management, and First Aid training provision in outback South Australia.
