10:55 AM - 11:15 AMBiography
Melanie Fudge is a nurse consultant in the Port Pirie Regional Health Service emergency department. She is a highly skilled and experienced rural emergency nurse who is passionate about providing high-quality nursing care to rural emergency patients. She has made a career out of working in high-pressure situations, in small teams, and in under-resourced settings. She is passionate about education, holds a graduate diploma in nursing science (Emergency), and is currently an ALS and APLS instructor. She provides clinical education in my current roles in ED, for LearnEM, and as an ENAME educator for the Rural Support Service. She recently became interested in research, completing a research project as part of a master's in clinical science with the University of Adelaide, focusing on telemedicine for critically ill rural South Australians.
