With 30 years' experience across health emergency management and government sectors, he has spearheaded emergency planning and response from local to international levels, deploying to multiple disasters across Australia. A former critical care aeromedical retrieval nurse and ambulance officer, Shane brings frontline expertise to strategic emergency leadership. He leads national preparedness through crisis exercises, training and education, during-action and after-action reviews, and represents Australia at international health emergency forums.
