Dr Carrie Janerka is a Registered Nurse with more than 20 years of emergency nursing experience spanning clinical practice, education, and research. She is a Senior Lecturer with the School of Nursing at Curtin University where she coordinates the Graduate Certificate in Critical Care Nursing Course, and Nurse Midwife Director for the Nursing and Midwifery Research Unit at South Metropolitan Health Service where she supports nurse-led research projects. An active member of CENA, Carrie participates in national and state committees, contributes to national emergency care policy and was awarded the Australasian Emergency Nurse of the Year 2025.
