Importance of functional vision testing for holistic patient care and improved quality of life
Abstract
In our high patient volume clinics holistic care and quality of life is frequently sidelined. This presentation aims to highlight and reinforce the importance of functional vision testing and history questioning to ensure patients are receiving adequate ocular care. This will be demonstrated by case studies and supported by literature. The purpose of the presentation is to encourage and educate clinical orthoptists about the importance of holistic patient care, improve patient care and highlight the relevance of functional vision tests. It also aims to create discussion amongst fellow peers and colleagues.
