Ocular imaging modalities in paediatrics
Abstract
Ocular imaging in paediatric patients is a highly specialised field. I will be discussing the different imaging techniques that are used at The Children's Hospital Westmead. Ocular imaging has improved the way we assess and treat young patients and has assisted in diagnosing multiple conditions. Ways to image the paediatric patient, as well as case studies will be presented.
Biography
Katie Geering is the Head Orthoptist at The Sydney Children's Hospital Network. Katie has been working as an orthoptist for over 20 years and has worked in various fields of Orthoptics and Ophthalmology in London and Sydney. Katie has volunteered in Fiji, assisting ophthalmologists in cataract surgery. Katie was the Michelle Beets Metropolitan winner in 2022.
