Oocyte metabolism and cumulus cell support in reproductive ageing
3:05 PM - 3:30 PMBiography
Lindsay Wu is an American Federation for Aging Research (AFAR) Investigator and metabolic biochemist whose lab at UNSW studies the molecular and metabolic mechanisms that underlie biological ageing, with a focus on applications for female fertility. His group previously showed that declining levels of the enzyme cofactor NAD+ are a reversible cause of reproductive ageing in mice, resulting in an undergoing a prospective clinical trial in IVF patients, and other ongoing research includes its applications in chemotherapy induced infertility and late-life female health.
