Colleen is a senior Medical Science Liaison at CooperSurgical Fertility Solutions. She completed her BSc in Genetics and MSc in Medical Genetics at the University of Glasgow and her PhD in Genetics at the University of Kent. Her current role within Medical Affairs involves driving and supporting scientific research and publications in the field of reproductive medicine.
Colleen has worked in the field of assisted reproduction for over 20 years in a variety of roles - as a UK state registered Clinical Scientist in Embryology, PGT Laboratory Manager, PGT Quality Manager to ISO:15189, and as Training and Scientific Manager within CooperSurgical’s professional education and clinical support team. Her own research interests and recent publications cover the optimization of embryology procedures and clinical outcomes in PGT, pan-ethnic carrier screening in gamete donors, and improving laboratory efficiencies through revisiting approaches to daily procedures including vitrification and sperm preparation.
