Dad, Partner, Son, Brother, Friend, Colleague Life Dan is fortunate to have grown up in a caring and supportive family environment, a privilege that he is mindful is denied many. It was within this environment that he completed his tertiary training, receiving his PhD in epigenetics from the University of Queensland in 2008. Dan began his passionate pursuit of assisted reproduction in 2010 at Genea (back then, Sydney IVF) as a Graduate Scientist, progressing to Senior Embryologist and performing a variety of functions, including in Southeast Asia. He is incredibly grateful for the knowledge and experience gained in his 12 years there, including some tough love and valuable lessons regarding the importance of time management. More recently, Dan was the Scientific Director in Queensland for Monash IVF, a leadership role that increased his awareness of the power of influence in building Teams and developing people and new leaders. He is deeply appreciative of the support he received from key leaders within the Group when learning to actively manage his own mental health. Now working for Vitrolife Group as their Senior Clinical and Embryology Director for the APAC region, Dan continues to strive to help bring life and hope where it wouldn’t have otherwise been possible, whilst also actively continuing his journey towards finding balance.
