Biography

Mariela Rossi is an AHPRA-registered psychologist originally from Argentina, where she developed an extensive career specialising in infertility and reproductive mental health. She has held senior academic and leadership roles, including serving for three years as President of the Psychosocial Aspects Chapter of the Argentine Society of Reproductive Medicine. Mariela has significant experience in higher education as a university lecturer, course director, and group and individual supervisor. She was Director of the postgraduate diploma “Sexual Health, Parenthood and Human Reproduction” at Universidad Abierta Interamericana and is currently Co-Coordinator of the postgraduate course “Towards a Clinical Approach to Filiation and Assisted Human Reproduction Techniques” at Universidad Nacional de San Martín. She has also taught at the University of Buenos Aires, focusing on the role of psychologists within assisted reproductive technologies (ART). She holds a Master’s degree in Family and Couple Studies and is currently completing a Master’s degree in Women’s Health. Since returning to Australia, Mariela has continued to develop her clinical practice with a strong commitment to warm, person-centred, and culturally responsive care. She has a particular interest in supporting women across the lifespan, including those navigating infertility, assisted reproduction, pregnancy, motherhood, and menopause. As a migrant herself, Mariela brings a deep understanding of the challenges faced by women from multicultural backgrounds and is passionate about promoting equitable access to comprehensive and compassionate mental health care
