This presentation will go ‘back to basics’ with a refresher on why and how to monitor blood pressure under anaesthesia, followed by discussion of how to manage hypotension. A range of techniques to avoid or correct hypotension will be covered, from fluid therapy to utilising medications. Nurses and techs can help improve patient outcomes with a deeper understanding of hypotension and the options available to treat it.
