Veterinary nurse-trition: the power of nurse nutrition explored through real life cases

Abstract

Veterinary nurses are critical to the nutritional management of all kinds of health conditions. Every day, we have to support tricky questions about complicated conditions in order to achieve optimal health outcomes and longevity for our patients.

Many nurses are now expected to talk to clients about more than weight or obesity, and facilitate more complex nutrition consultations. However, finding models or opportunities to learn how to facilitate these consultations can be very challenging.

This lecture will support veterinary nurses by stepping through real life, advanced veterinary nutrition consultations and educating on all components of the consults. This includes managing consult workflow, providing technical nutrition information, how to deliver complex information and communicate with clients and manage nurse consultation processes.
