Loco legends - advanced loco-regional anaesthesia techniques

Abstract

With our increasing understanding of balanced anaesthesia and multi-modal analgesia, the value of local anaesthetics is more evident than ever. These versatile drugs can effectively block pain in specific areas, offering excellent analgesia, reducing our reliance on inhalant anaesthesia, and enhancing overall pain management.

In this lecture, we will explore advanced loco-regional anaesthesia techniques, including dental blocks, regional nerve blocks, and epidurals. These techniques, while requiring specialized training and equipment, are integral to high-quality patient care and provide crucial benefits across various clinical settings. Whether you are in general practice, emergency medicine, dentistry, or referral surgery, join me to discover how incorporating these advanced methods can elevate your practice and improve patient outcomes.
