Biography

Jo is a Registered and Accredited Veterinary Nurse who has been working in the profession for over 25 years and is a trainer and assessor for Animal Industries Resource Centre and a training consultant for Crampton Consulting Group. She also works as an emergency and critical care nurse in clinical practice. Jo enjoys both the challenges of working in the hospital especially in emergency, medical and surgical nursing and is also very passionate about the training of veterinary nurses in the knowledge and skills required to ensure the highest levels of veterinary care is provided in practice. With a great passion for the profession and raising the status of veterinary nurses in Australia, Jo is active member of the Veterinary Nurses Council of Australia (VNCA) having previously sat on the board of directors as a Past President and held roles on the CPD committee and the editorial committee reviewing the Australian Veterinary Nurses Journal (AVNJ). Currently Jo is a Veterinary Nurse Representative on the Australian Veterinary Nurses and Technicians Registration Scheme (AVNAT) Regulatory Council. Jo has lectured both within Australia and internationally and has a beautiful golden retriever called Eddy and a cheeky Domestic Shorthair cat called Blueberry at home along with her human family.

Biography

Jasmine gained a passion for veterinary nursing working as a Junior Veterinary Assistant while still attending school. Over the last 25 years she has worked in small animal specialist medicine practice, and small animal general practice in both nursing and management capacities.
With a range of experience across referral and general practice, Jasmine has delivered lectures and workshops both throughout Australia and internationally with an emphasis on clinical veterinary nursing skills and knowledge.
Jasmine completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2002, obtained and maintained accreditation through the VNCA since January 2006, gained a Diploma in Critical Care and Emergency Nursing in 2007 and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment in 2011. Jasmine has been a registered veterinary nurse with the AVNAT registration scheme since its inception in 2019.
Jasmine’s passion for clinical excellence led her to join Animal Industries Resource Centre/Crampton Consulting Group as a training consultant and has spent the last 20 years in this position. Jasmine has volunteered for the Veterinary Nurses Council of Australia since 2008 and has held various positions within the association including 7 years on the Board of Directors and 2 years as President. She is the current chair of the Professional Advancement Committee.
