Small ruminant lameness

Abstract

Lameness is one of the most common reasons veterinary professionals are called to see small ruminant patients on both commercial properties and lifestyle blocks. This presentation covers all things small ruminant lameness including the anatomy of the locomotor system, physical examination of lameness, causes of lameness including infectious and non-infectious causes and how to manage and prevent these cases. Managing lameness is not just a veterinarian job and is a unique space for technicians and nurses to get involved in the prevention and management of lameness in these patients.
