Workshop Two: Mastering the essentials - aseptic techniques and catheter care in veterinary practice
Abstract
Join us for a comprehensive exploration into the fundamental yet critical procedures we perform daily in veterinary practices, focusing on understanding and mastering aseptic techniques. This workshop, designed for veterinary nurses, delves into the rationale behind routine practices to enhance patient outcomes and prevent infections. Participants will gain hands-on experience correctly placing various catheters, securing methods, and maintenance to minimise infection risks. We will cover a range of catheters, including intravenous, arterial, and urinary catheters, tailored for both male and female patients. Enhance your practical skills and deepen your understanding of these essential veterinary practices to provide the best care for your patients.
