Advanced acid base and blood gas interpretation
Abstract
This lecture assumes basic acid/base understanding of the audience and expands into a deeper interpretation of arterial blood gas results and interpretation of oxygen and ventilation status. Case studies will be utilised to understand how arterial blood gas results guide treatment plans and mechanical ventilation. An introduction to mixed disorders deepens understanding of acid base effects on the body.
