Commercial Session: Nursing the ageing renal patient
Abstract
With 30-40% of cats over the age of 10 suffering from chronic kidney disease, and 90% of cats over the age of 7 showing signs of joint deterioration, the ageing patient presents unique problems with 68% of cats presenting with both conditions.
In this session, Jessica presents the nutritional management of co-morbidities in ageing pets, discussing new diet options in the Royal Canin Clinical Alliance range while Lauren describes key nursing considerations and interventions for mature patients with renal disease, to provide timely and appropriate supportive care to inpatients.
Don’t miss out on this highly relevant session for your ageing patients, plus all attendees will receive some Royal Canin samples and goodies!
