Abstract

Join B. Braun for an engaging and practical workshop exploring the history, science, and techniques of suturing and wound closure. This hands-on session will take participants through the evolution of suture materials and technologies, highlighting the innovations that have shaped modern surgical practice.

Gain a deeper understanding of the key components of wound closure — including suture threads, needle design, and packaging — and how each element contributes to optimal patient outcomes. Participants will also have the opportunity to practice essential suturing techniques such as the simple interrupted, continuous, cruciate, and finger trap patterns under expert guidance.

Whether you’re refreshing your skills or building new ones, this workshop offers valuable insights into precision, efficiency, and the craftsmanship behind successful wound management.
